Members of the Whitgift Care community, residents, family, friends, staff and volunteers, joined many of the Friends of Everyone Matters for a perfect summer's afternoon entertainment on Sunday 22 June. Whitgift House offered generous jugs of Pimm's and Lemonade, served alongside the picnics that audience members had brought with them. Some came equipped with rugs for the lawn, most enjoyed sitting at tables under the gazebos and in the shade of the trees while Igor and Sarah entertained with a huge range of musical delights from Vivaldi's summer storm (luckily they didn't bring one on!) to a tango by Piazzolla, with songs from both artists in many languages including Russian (Igor) and French (Sarah's Édith Piaf). Lots of our friends felt they just had to write to us afterwards:

‘Brilliant’ ... ‘very entertaining’ ... ‘first class performance’ ... ‘music has no language barrier’
